Judge Lorna Bedard is an Associate Judge of the 254th Family District Court in Dallas, Texas. Prior to being appointed to the bench, Judge Bedard served as a Managing Assistant Attorney General for the Office of the Attorney General. She is a graduate of Spelman College and earned her law degree from Southern Methodist University’s Dedman School of Law.
Judge Bedard is married to William L. Bedard, Jr. and is the third “Judge Bedard” in the family, being the daughter-in-law of late Judges Theodora Bedard and Bill Bedard, Sr. As avid travelers, Judge Bedard and her husband enjoy traveling to small towns in Texas and collecting bluebonnet paintings.
