Family law professionals are frequently tasked with making high-stakes decisions regarding parenting capacity and the best interests of children, yet there remains widespread confusion about when to utilize psychological versus neuropsychological evaluations. This presentation provides a clear, practical framework for distinguishing between these two types of assessments and aligning referral questions with the appropriate evaluation.
